Where does my data go?

A one-page answer to the question every workshop owner should ask.

What we store

• Your business details and your users' names and email addresses
• Your plant register — machines, serial numbers, rego numbers
• Inspection and checklist records, with who did them and when
• Photos your crew take of plant, data plates, and certificates
• Not your card details — payments go through Stripe; we never see the full number

Where it lives

Everything is stored in Australia (Sydney), on Supabase — enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure running on AWS. Nothing is stored overseas. Everything is encrypted in transit and at rest, and backed up daily.

Who can see it

Only your people. Your data is walled off from every other workshop at the database level — it's not just hidden in the app, the database itself refuses to serve your records to anyone outside your organisation. Technicians see what technicians need; owners see everything.

We (PlantRego) only look at your records to help you with a support issue. We never sell data, never share it with anyone, and there are no advertisers involved.

What if I leave?

Your data is yours, full stop.

• One tap exports your complete Evidence Pack (PDF) any time — no need to ask us
• Cancel whenever you like; there's no lock-in contract
• On cancellation we hand you a complete export (all records + all photos) within 5 business days, free
• After 90 days it's permanently deleted from our systems

What if PlantRego disappears?

Fair question to ask any small software company. Two protections: you can export everything yourself at any time without our help, and our commitment in writing is a full data handover before anything is switched off. You can never be left without your compliance records.
